    Dumb engine build question…

Okay, we all know the importance of using a ‘torque plate’ during any reboring, but I want to get the bores measured on the 2 blocks I have and use the best one.

Question, is it best to use the ‘torque plate’ when I take these measurements?

I’m also thinking of leaving the crank bolted in?

    Ta.
    Carlos.

dont need a torque plate to measure the bores, just measure them at three or four points down the bores to check for wear..
